It’s movement therapy, fresh air, and real talk - all rolled into one.
Roots to Rise Walks is a 4-week cycle of guided walks designed to support your mental wellness, self-confidence, and sense of connection through conversation, community, and gentle progression.
Ease in. Breathe. Move without pressure.
A short, flat route that’s all about connection - to yourself, to others, to the ground beneath you.
Optional coffee catch-up after (because connection doesn’t end at the finish line).
“Start small. Root deep.”
We build a little challenge - just enough to feel your heartbeat and your confidence rise.
Perfect for those ready to take a step beyond the comfort zone.
“Feel your strength grow underfoot.”
We go further. A longer route with a mid-way pitstop for refuel and reflection.
This week is for expanding your limits, exploring your area, and surprising yourself.
“Stretch your legs, stretch your story.”
Our celebration walk.
We’ll tackle a bigger distance, new terrain, and take in some breathtaking views.
Expect laughter, pride, and maybe a muddy shoe or two.
“Rise higher than you thought you could.”
Hi, I’m Sara.
Walking changed everything for me.
I’ve completed 2 full marathons, 2 organised half marathons, and in 2024 I set myself a challenge to do 12 self-directed half marathons, not to prove my fitness, but to prove my resilience.
Walking became my therapy.
My reset button.
My teacher.
It showed me that growth doesn’t always look loud, sometimes it looks like steady footsteps and deep breaths.
Now, I walk with others to help them find that same grounding, courage, and quiet transformation.
“We root first. Then we rise.”

No. The walks are progressive and inclusive. Week 1 is gentle, and you can opt out or rest as needed.
That’s totally okay - you won’t be thrown into a crowd. We keep numbers small, conversations kind, and the pace human.
We walk anyway (within reason). Bring layers, waterproofs, and your best “let’s do this” attitude. Sometimes the rainy walks are the best ones.
You’ll get the most benefit if you do, but you can drop in for single sessions whenever you like.
No , it’s not therapy, but it is deeply therapeutic. This is movement for the mind, heart, and body.
You don’t need to run. You don’t need to keep up.
You just need to show up.
